Bio

Latoya is a native of the beautiful Island of Jamaica. Many know her as Latti, a nickname given to her by her mother at a young age. She and her family moved to the United States in 1993. The youngest of three children, she spent the rest of her childhood in Westchester, New York. Shortly after arriving in the United States, Latoya was diagnosed with severe arthritis and spent much of her early years on crutches. She overcame adversity and learned to live with chronic pain, eventually weaning herself off the crutches. She studied Mass Communication with a concentration in Advertising at Iona College in New Rochelle NY. Latoya decided to move to California to pursue a career in the arts. She instantly began shooting with some of Southern California’s finest fashion photographers. Latoya spends her leisure time giving back to charities for women and girls. She is the founder of A Walking Virtue, a photography studio dedicated to the creation of photographs that tell stories about life, experience, and sometimes hardships.
